A VIDEO

I made a remix of Franz Diego’s Waggin on the Scene. I got inspired by the dubstep artist Minnesota with lots of complicated arpeggios and warm, fuzzy bass.

I love Yakub’s flow.  It’s kind of staggered and staccato but it remains very catchy.

I’ve also noticed a lot of dynamic pitch adjustment on wag tracks’ vocals (especially Sense of Self).  It goes down to chopped and screwed sounds and up like chipmunks, and seems to do it smoothly.  I don’t know how to achieve this effect but I want to be able to do that in my production.

This video is wild, it’s entertaining. Big ups to Yakub for working with Mictlan.

A TUNE

Blow It Up With Fire - Tribe & Big Cats

I have listened to this whole album and it’s solid. However, I can’t get past the first two songs before I start listening to the first two songs over again.  I wish I had heard these guys before I saw them live, I probably would’ve appreciated them more.

I also wish I could go to their show in Duluth.

Dopeness. Pure dopeness.

My beat will be way less chill than the OG.  More like wake up and run out the door, with a lot of 808’s and smooth old school sample.

Probably hitting this up
